Marriage equality

It is a great new day for people of conscience in the State of New York! With Governor Cuomo’s signature on the night of June 24, 2011, New York became the 6th State of the Union to recognize same sex marriage. New York now joins Connecticut, Massachusetts and other forward-thinking States in granting you the marital rights you deserve, thereby opening the door to full equality for you across this country.

I am a long-time veteran of your struggle for equal rights. Along with nearly a million other people, I took a stand for equality at the NATIONAL MARCH ON WASHINGTON on Sunday, April 25, 1993, and have continued to support equal rights for LGBT people ever since that time.

Gay couples from all 50 States and around the world will now know that their love is acknowledged here. I celebrate your love, commitment and marriage, and believe that all couples who choose to dedicate their lives to one another in matrimony deserve my wholehearted dedication in creating the most memorable ceremony possible for your special day.

I am ready to proudly officiate your wedding ceremony and sign the license that has long-awaited you! I personally welcome you to New York City for your Special Day!

Here are photos from my son's wedding to Rob in Boston, Massachusetts in May 2010. I know how important this day was for Chad and Rob, and I know how important it is for you, too! Let me help you make it everything that you envision.

Warm Regards, Rev. Will
